Home watch in Matlacha

A small place where water is never far

Matlacha is a narrow strip of waterfront homes on the way to Pine Island, reached over the drawbridge on Pine Island Road. Most of what we watch here sits close to the water, which means salt air on the exterior, humidity inside a closed-up house, and docks and lifts that keep working whether anyone is home or not. We are a short drive away in Cape Coral, so a visit here fits our normal route rather than being a trip out of the way.

We also watch homes in Cape Coral, Fort Myers and North Fort Myers. Curious what you receive after a visit? See an example report.

What we check at your Matlacha home

  • Water, leaks and plumbing, inside and out
  • AC, humidity and mold risk in the Florida heat
  • Pool, lanai and screen cage
  • Doors, windows, security and mail
  • Exterior condition, with salt air in mind
  • Electrical basics and appliances left running
Why local matters

One road in, and we are on it

Everything here comes and goes over Pine Island Road. In season that road gets busy, and after a storm it is the first thing people ask about. Because we work from Cape Coral we are on the near side of it, so getting to your home does not depend on crossing half the county first.

You always know who visited your home, and every inspection is logged with geolocation as proof it happened on site.

Home Watch is defined as a visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues.
Good to know

Home watch in Matlacha, answered

Weekly or bi-weekly, whichever fits how you use your home. You can pause visits when you are here or the home is rented, and they resume when it is empty again.

Yes. Matlacha is inside our regular route from Cape Coral. Further out on Pine Island the drive gets longer, so ask us about your specific address and we will tell you honestly whether we can hold the same standard there.

We look at the visible condition of what is accessible from the property, including the dock area and anything obviously out of place. Home watch is a visual inspection, so it is not a technical survey of the lift or the seawall.

A photo report showing what we checked and what we found, with the date and the name of the person who did the visit. You can see an example report here.

It depends on the home: the type of property, the size, whether there is a pool or waterfront, and how often you want us there. Tell us about your home and we come back with a clear quote, confirmed in writing. See how pricing works.
